Internships are a way for students or trainees to get an opportunity to work with an organization in order to gain good working experience and build their skills. Internships can be paid and unpaid.

This is my second Internship this year, the first was the I4g x Zuri Internship which was concluded last month. HNG and I4G have given me the opportunity to continue from where I stopped.

It was a thing of joy as I ticked off all the goals I set for myself to achieve by the end of my last internship. I was surprised by the tremendous improvement that I had no idea I could achieve by setting realistic goals. Resilience, dedication, hard work and I4G made it possible for me to smoothly transition into tech and I’m grateful for that.

I have written myself yet another goal that I honestly aim to achieve by the end of the 8th week with HNGi8 x I4G.

  • Upskilling my use of the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) by learning and using SCSS for all my tasks and projects.
  • Knowing how and when to use Bootstrap, Semantic UI and other CSS frameworks of my choice.
  • Learning and applying JavaScript to all my mini and main Web Design projects.
  • Having a basic knowledge of React Javascript and its application.

One would see this and think that my goals are too few. I believe every man has been given the choice to cut their material to the size that suits them the most. This material is a bodycon dress to me and I look forward to rocking it with excitement.

Here’s a link to learn more about this Internship. You could also enrol and be a part of this year's cohort. The Internship itself focuses on participants with prior experience either by going through the training phase like I did or self-learning.

However, if you have no prior experience, I still encourage you to apply, you’ll learn a lot from the experience and you won’t regret it. In this training, you will gain access to enough knowledge to introduce and aid your success in the tech industry. Be it Front-end development, Back-end development, UI/UX Design, Mobile Development or Digital Marketing.
